Update on MIL from last night

MIL didn't have a stroke as first thought, but a heart attack. She's always been active, but hadn't shown signs of heart trouble which is common with women I've been told. They expect a full recovery if nothing else comes up. Thanks for all the replies!!

Follow the advice of therapists, and build activity as directed. Adhere to the diet needed to limit exposure to more attacks. Jim

I hate to say it but a heart attack would seem better to me than a stroke. Strokes scare the heck out of me.

Wish her the best.

Oftentimes, women don"t survive their first heart attack. I have heart issues, don"t know about wanting the heart attack, or the stroke option. I guess time will tell....

They got her off the O2, etc and transferred to a regular room. Gonna have a heart catheterization tomorrow. She's as cranky as ever. As my wife says, she's back!!

She's an 82 year old eastern N.C. woman that's been an old fashioned "good food" (read as bad food) cook and now she'll have to cut down on salt, etc.
