M6060 Kubota gotta go back to the shop

Got it back Friday morning and checked everything over-looked good except for the engine oil which was low. I pretty much thought it should have been changed since they removed the intake, but it was what it was. Added oil to just below the full mark. Saturday tedded about 4 acres with it. Sunday morning checked the oil and it was showing over full by a little, thought I must have overfilled it and it hadn't ran down completely when I had checked it. Baled 28 bales with it Sunday and it is showing between 3/8 and 1/2 " above the full mark. So I do believe there is an injector line loose or an injector o ring causing the problem. The injectors are under the intake. It goes back in the morning when they come and pick it up. Keith

Just curious why would removing the intake necessitate an oil change? Usually only if doing internal engine work would we do that unless the oil had an issue

I declare your rizing sun is possessed. We went to war against japan, pearl harbor.i got a great uncle laying in pearl harbor

On my Kubota I had difficulty with the stop on the dip stick slipping. Is it possible yours has slipped giving you an incorrect reading.

Seems like the people I know and hear about that have bought new tractors either have no problems or nothing but problems.I'm real happy wit my older ones too.

Keith,
Sometimes my Jubilee's aftermarket spin on filter will drain back and dipstick shows too much oil.

Start engine for a few minutes before checking oil.

Because the oil test they had done on it said there was fuel in it. Probably not enough to warrant the change is the reason for not changing it. They did say they added trans fluid because it was a little low so if the engine was low after they got done with it I figure they should have added to it also, dumb me. Just glad I have a habit of checking fluids, especially engine before start up every day before getting on equipment. Keith

Sounds like a workmanship issue in the dealer's shop rather than a Kubota issue.

But remember traditional farmer we should all go out and buy a new tractor because these old ones are just to unreliable . I?ve put less into this one including buying it than one payment on a Kubota or any new tractor for that matter .

Its all in what you want to spend your money on,I can eat a little dust and stand a little heat for the $50,000 difference in my Oliver 1550 and a new tractor to bale hay with.I like the heat and taking a shower after baling hay feels so good it'd be a disappointment to end the day clean and cool(LOL)

I?d like a tractor with a nice cab someday but it won?t be any newer than 1998 . And your right a hot shower sure feels good after a long day eating dust and chaff it?s never hurt me . I?m usually on the same tractor until thanksgiving or first week of December and boy is a cup of hog chocolate feel good after a day of that .
