Can anyone identify the maker of this dirt scoop, it had a tag at one time and looks to be well made I tried it out and it works pretty slick. The third picture shows where the tag was.

Got one just like it. My uncle bought it and a 52 8N new in 52 and built 2 fish ponds with them.
He turned the tractor over twice doing it.
My Dad bought them and I grew up using them. That old scoop has moved thousands of yard of dirt over the years.
I moved some dirt the other day with both of them.
It is a great scoop.
Never saw a nameplate on it,but I will look after a while.

I have one too. Haven't used it for years. It's sitting in the barn lot collecting wasp nests. Probably ought to get it up on blocks and cover it up.

This may not work.

We also have one tagged as Ferguson, I imagine the hydroscoop others mention was who actually made it for Ferguson

Richard,
My dad called his a slip scraper. It had handles for a person to hold too. It might have been an amish slip scraper, horse drawn.

The Ferguson scoop I know of was made entirely different than that one is. Made by a company called Blackhawk but not the company that made the Blackhawk line of machinery. The Ferguson unit was orignally sold under the Blackhawk name and that is what I had. Friend has one exactly like I had with the Ferguson tag on it.

Slip scoop what called around here And still think I have the one my great grandpa had over a hunderd years ago. He might have had at most 2 horses on 20 acres. Walked over 5 miles to go to work on railroad on track maintainance.

I had one that looked just like yours. I thought it was a Stockton, sold by Ferguson. I have one now with name plate Stockton Hydro-scoop. The latch is different on it and it is reversible.
