I stopped by there today they had a warehouse sale across the street it was packed in the warehouse.. That store has a little of everything plus a extremely large selection of work shoes and clothing. I took a bunch of pix for some reason only a few turned out well. : (

It kinda reminds me of one the IHC store's i been in, It also had the Post Office in it. and this is not a misprint, You got you'r mail their from the box, just like a normal Post Office, bought stamps and all the rest !

Gotta have a liquor store and post office. There was a Mercantile down the road growing up. They didnt have everything but they had everything you needed including grain for the animals

FastFarmall, there was an instore post office in a Mitchels Dept. Store when I was a kid.

It was in Lake Worth Tx, a suburb of Ft Worth, near Dallas.

This was a mid size clothing store in a strip mall, concrete floor, air conditioned, more modern than your typical country store.

I never had much dealing with the post office there, remember going there a few times with my mom. I do remember the postmaster, a slow moving, crusty ol' man, not real popular...

Unpopular enough that a sign was posted warning "Assault on a postal employee is a federal offense!" LOL

Hobo,

Very cool! I love old fashioned stores like that.

When Sis and I traveled this summer, we got to see an old Five & Dime store in a neat little Indiana town. Someday, I will have to post pics of it.

Cute girl in the purple shirt ! We have a store just
like that and in the basement it has old implement
