Richard, I use mine to drag logs with I made a frame for the 3 point on my tractor
and use it like a skidder so to say but I take it off to use to drag logs to where I can get to them with the tractor. they have to be sharp on the points and a little angled back and I sometimes have to tap them in a bit on some logs. a longer taper on the points is best to drag with but there is a fine line between just right and too thin and they will break off.

I'm with Tom- they need a steady weight on them to stay engaged, and you'll get slack moments when yarding with them. Why not just yard with a chain or cable choker? Lots less monkey-motion.

Loggers I have seen use a cable with a loop in the end like a noose. They have a special fitting that could be approximated with eye loop and a couple clamps.

Hi Richard I use them more for lifting and stacking then dragging but I have dragged with them and I don't recall having much trouble. I have one set that are about useless and made in China. The good heavy ones work well, they realy dig in.
