Schwartz wide front end and Beautiful day

I t started out great clear and crisp , the feedlot was frozen like I hoped. I had to chip the gates loose but that was OK, backed right up to the shed,shredded the corn stalk bales, gave them a little extra cause maybe next week can't back in because of mud. On the way out the tie rod end dropped flipped the tire sideways and snapped off the spindle. It is a Schwartz after market wide front on my 2510. Are parts still available. I haven't got it out yet will do that after church, pick it up with loader and hopefully get it drove out of the feed lot. I know one of the YTers will know if parts are available. Thanks a lot.
 
I had a Schwartz on my 706 with loader. Good enough front end but built a little on the light side. When I broke my spindle I just welded it back up. Held perfectly until I traded the tractor. I bet it is still holding to this day.
 
Yes,they are still available. I've seen Swarts parts in some catalogs,but cant rightly remember just which one. Abilene? Stiener? All States?...
 
The Schwartz I used to have on a loader tractor had two welded spindles by the time I got rid of it. It was a agile wide front but a little light for loader work.
 
I got a spindle from Schwanke Tractor parts in Willmar, Mn but if you do d google search quite a few sellers come up
 
I think Abilene Machine lists a whole bunch of Schwartz wide front end parts, tho other of the common retail catalogs have them too.

Thanks for all the replies. I was pretty sure there were parts available. And as always you all came through. Once I get it off I'll run it by the welding shop in town and see what Bill thinks. Then make a decision, new or repair. Thanks again. Jim
 
I installed a used Schwartz on my Farmall M many years ago. I just noticed about a year ago that one spindle had been welded. It was such a good job I never noticed it. So, yes, they weld up very nicely.
