No Roundup for me

I tried to order Roundup, but no shipping to California, and a few other states. I can get Ranger Pro. Is Ranger Pro about the same as Roundup? Stan

Interesting.
I wonder if the brand was banned by California or if Monsato/Bayer decided to exit the CA market as well as any other state that is hostile towards them?
 
A California JURY found that Roundup caused cancer. A different California jury found that O J Simpson was not guilty of murdering his wife. Juries can "find" anything they want, and it doesn't mean its true. The EPA has actually come out with an order stating that glyphosate does not cause cancer, based on scientific studies. California based it finding on the World Health Organization. As stated in an article in the Wall Street Journal, the WHO is "the same U.N. outfit that has warned against cancer from pickled vegetables, caffeine and working the night shift."
 
Glyphosate comes in 4, 5, and I think 6 lb ratings.

Weaker to stronger formulations.

It?s all the same basic imgredient in the generic brands, but you do have to consider how strong it is when mixing. If you are used to a 5# product and now are buying a 4# product, you have to mix it a bit stronger than you were used to.

So yes it?s the same active ingredients and works the same, but be mindful of how strong the different products might be.

Ha! Don't get me started on California. If you discovered crystal clear water on a sacred hill running down from heaven the state would rush in and declare that it's tainted and poison.

Or they will simply claim exclusive rights to it, then tax (or fine) you for use.
 
2 thoughts I?ve had on the the Roundup issue, if it is as bad as WHO says it is; 1) there should be no farmers alive, 2) why is it still on the market & not band? Any trial lawyer will tell you that jury's decisions are based more on emotional than on facts.
 
First roundup was said to be probable, no real proof, and those trial lawyers will go after anyone or anything if you are willing to sign up, the key is they get their money first and everybody they represent will have to split what little is left if there is any money at all. One of the strategies is to get enough people signed up and hope the large corporation will just settle, 10 or 20 million is not that big a deal to those companies. The lawyers will take half and the 100,000 people will all get about $300 a piece for signing up.

Tx farm bureau magazine said last month....

"EPA has found that there is no proof that glyphospates causes cancer when used as labeled. The epa had released the results earlier but went through the comment period and now the final ruling is issued."

Now what is that going to do to all the previous rulings and verdicts out there? Do they have to give back all the money? Will future lawsuits be stopped?
 
I'm not a tree hugger, just the opposite. Any tree that can fall and damage a building has been removed. I think it's crazy to see trees on buildings after a tornado.

That said today is Earth Day's 50th birthday.

Remember DDT? Some thought it was nuts to ban it

I use roundup on limited basis and a small amount. Wear PPE.
