Has anyone made a mount for a reciever
hitch to accommodate a clay target machine.
I'm thinking the ones that are spring
loaded. Something that could change the
hight and angle of the presentation. Range
in Phoenix Arizona are closed.

FLOLDFORD shoots competition. Plus, builds/fabricates all kinds of stuff. I'll bet he can hook you up!

amazon sells them. hitch and skeet is one brand. i bought a battery powered thrower from bass pro. works great, just push the button,. holds 50 birds at a time. heres a pic

I've had this Du All manual thrower for years and it mounts in a Reese style hitch. It works Ok but I never could get enough angle on it to throw a high bird. It wouldn't be that hard to modify the part that goes in the hitch to allow you to give it more angle. They are not expensive at around $130. It will throw doubles if you stack the targets. I may modify it soon to trow 4 targets at a time straight up just to see if I can hit them with a semi auto. I can hit triples that are hand thrown but never tried 4 a once

floldford, do you wear bifocals ? we shot some clay birds a week or so ago, i had about a50% hit ratio. with the rifle target shooting, no problem.with clays i would catch the bird in the varilux transition and the bird kinda ?jumps?. been about 15 years since i shot clays, so i prolly didnt do too bad with the .410. didnt tryshooting without my glasses, dont want to have to re roof the barn!

I wear bifocals but not when I'm shoot. Only wear single lens glasses. A lot has to do with how the guns fits you and most 410's have a shorter than normal stock.Tape a drinking straw to the top of the receiver and mount the gun just like you were ready to pull the trigger. You should see the bead
through the straw.. If not the gun doesn't fit you.

thanks for the tip! quite possible i outgrew my .410, got it when i was about 9 years old. i have an 870 wingmaster and a winchester 1200 in 12 ga, but really like the .410. good handy varmint gun too. heres the wife and daughter with her boyfriend shooting some clays.
