Well Paul, you can't get the plow upside-down HeHe. I am pretty much done with spring plowing. We have a neighbor who we rent ground from that still needs to get his butt in gear and get his manure spread on it so I can plow it for corn. It is only 20A and I can knock it off easily in a day when he gets it ready.
We had planned to retire the old Case 5X18 hydraulic reset plow, as we the local auction house was auctioning off a White 588 spring reset 6X20 on-land in near new condition, but all auctions were forced to go on-line only. My cousin had made all the necessary arrangements prior to the auction and was actively bidding when his smart phone went dead. GERRRR. The old Case did it's usual good job of plowing this spring, but the moldboards are wearing thin and shorter and the colters are half the diameter that they were when new.----------------Loren

While your ...4520.. was flipping over it settled back down to earth under a new radiator cap as a 4250. Lol, quite an upgrade. I wouldn?t have said anything but I went through your post progression backwards and I saw it showed a SGB tractor and wondered what model it was. Then came to this post and it said 4520 and I said to myself, huhhhh? All in fun, I would think a 4250 would just play with a 3 bottom although the ground does look like some of the challenging gumbo I am accustomed to from NE Kansas. Also good to see Loren chime in, it a little slower here since the exodus.

Great to hear from you Loren! And thanks for the picture.

I sure miss all your great projects and pictures. Your talents have been an inspiration to many of us.

Thanks red!! The ground I was on today varied wildly. Nice clay based ground that plowed great, to really red and rocky clay to periodic springs/sink holes. That is an 18? plow and there were times especially going uphill in really heavy clay that is all it wanted.

Problem with internet auctions, I was wanting to buy a massey combine on a sale, it was live and online before this pandemic! I submitted prebids on the base unit and heads, I was down in Texas at the time but watching the sale online then a dozen items before the combine was to sell, I lost internet connection, won a grain head only! Lol
