I have a John Deere 7000 4 row wide planter, last week i put some seeds in the ground with it and found a problem i'm not sure how to handle, i had both markers unhitched and ready to use, but one side kept going down instead of one side then the other, i lifted the planter up and down for 10+ minutes and still no go. I got out and shook both sides and finally about the time i was done it worked like it should. It did this last year just a time or two, what do i need to do to fix this??

I second that pull the unit out of the tube, years back I had the same problem and a mouse had corn cob that blocked it and a big nest inside.

Tie a twine on the left cable and unhook the left cable from the left marker.

Unpin and swing back the right marker.

Take out the 4 or was it 2 bolts, and pull the actuator out of the tube on the right side.

This is all easier than it sounds.

Something may be worn on the actuator. More likely you will find mouse nest all wadded up binding up the actuator and cables.

As listed below.Follow the instruction book and will find a mouse nest or one year I found that the short cable on the right side had started to tear and would hang up a little. Good luck.

As others stated, make sure tube is clean and adjust according to manual. I would inspect the line that were in the tube well when they are out, as they tend to rust when packed with mice nests.
