JD paint question

Just read the post about the paint on the JD MT and my question is : Is the paint on pre 1960 John Deere tractors and equipment a darker shade of green and a slightly paler yellow than 1960 to present equipment. To my eyes the older tractors are darker or become darker with age. The more modern ones have a lighter/brighter green and yellow that seems to fade to a lighter shade at a fairly quick rate. I have also observed IH original red gets noticeably darker with age, whether left in the shed or in the barnyard.

There were at least two different shades of JD green.
They are still sold today as "old" and "new" JD green.
The difference in fading may be because of the quality of the paint
used when repainting them or the use of, or lack of, hardener.
