trying to figure out what is the best rim size for case 430 14.9 tire? 12inch 13inch? what is the widest you can go? thanks

14.9 width tire goes on a 13" wide rim. Should say so right on the tire itself, but maybe not.

12" you're pinching it giving the tread a more crowned appearance. 14" will be easier to mount but the tread will be more spread out and flat.

If you are looking at new rims, I don't think 13" are available new, I would vote for a 14" rim.

I have a 1964 MF 65 and a 1966 MF 165 that both came with 14.9 x 28 tires on 12 inch rims. I also have a 1969 165 that came the same size tires on 13 inch rims. Either will work just fine. Bear in mind 14.9 tires replaced 13.00.
