Only I didn’t say fudge I said thee word the big one the queen mother of dirty words the f dash dash dash word

I like to watch the old cartoon Christmas shows like How the Grinch stole Christmas, along with White Christmas, A Christmas Carol. The originals or early versions like with Allister Simm or George C. Scott. The new versions I think lose a lot in the modernization of them. Sort of like movie remakes are not as good as the originals.

I agree I’m not a fan of remakes and I do also like how the grinch stole Christmas Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and frosty and Charlie Brown has a Christmas show to

I got more out of the short story than the tv special. I think the author was SHepherd, used to have his own thing on Public tv.

Watched:

Charlie Brown Christmas for the 5 millionth time. Was supposed to be a colossal failure, network types didn't like the religious overtones. Now you can't listen to the Vince Guaraldi soundtrack without imaging the scene from the show.

Christmas Carol with Alastair Sim--the definitive version for me. One of those movies where you can believe in every character.

Scrooged with Bill Murray. One of my favorite characters is the taxi driver who takes B Murray back in time, ghost of Christmas Past.

It's a Wonderful Life. Another movie where all the players were believable, really original story with great cast. Bedford Falls, everything--it looked like you were really there. They must have known they hit it out of the park with that one.

I guess we are all kids at heart, while I didn’t watch any of the Christmas shows this year I too like the old standards. Same with Christmas songs , both traditional Christmas Carols and songs, like Louie Armstrong singing That you? Santa Claus ?? And Boris Karloff singing the theme song to The Grinch, Your a mean one , Mister Grinch !

2ND YEAR IN A ROW MISSED THEM JUST NOT CHRISTMAS WITHOUT THEM NEXT YEAR GOING BACK TO OLD WAY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Was thinking have to put the Yule time log on for a while today. Just for the music, and see a crackling fire.

Woke up a bit ago, and wife had it on. She was snoozing again, but had put it on when she was up.

Cool.

Will have to catch It’s a Wonderful Life, E! Is supposed to loop it today starting at 8 this morning. That is my classic have to see.

I can just about recite Christmas Story, love that, seen it so often.

Wouldn't miss it. It's an old tradition. Another old tradition is to play the song "Alice's Restaurant" on Thanksgiving. A great song that goes on forever.

(quoted from post at 11:51:03 12/25/20) Great story watch it every year. I was even going to buy a leg lamp till I got the "hairy eyeball" from SWAMBO...

OTJ
