Internationals Running Good

I started the R160 IH truck for the first time this spring. ONce it warmed up the transplanted Holley carburetor worked pretty good. 40 mph seems like the engine is turning over pretty fast. Got a bit of video from today.

(quoted from post at 00:53:58 04/06/21) That is a nice truck you have there I have always liked international trucks .
Thanks, it is not bad for a $500, non running auction sale truck. I've hauled a lot of stuff around the farm in that gravel box in the past 18 years.

Our Fire departments first due piece when I got on in '74 was an R185. It was governed at 45.

An outfit I used to work for had an old R190 water truck with a 450 and 5x3, and the somewhat numb son-in-law blew it up, let it rev up going downhill and boom. The old Cat mechanic in the shop, who was a strictly Diesel guy (carburetor idle screws completely confused him) put it back together, and set the governor at 2100 like a Diesel. Man, trying to pick up the next gear was rough...

These old trucks are pretty fun to play with . How do you keep
the mice out ? Thats quite a truck for 500$ thats what I have
for my old truck

I have an ongoing poison campaign. Blue blocks in most buildings all year round. It keeps the population of mice way down and rats are non existent.

I bought some poison thats yellow In big blocks they cant
carry it and so they have to eat it seems to work ok

These are like a block of blue wax with a hole through the middle for a nail and I just nail them to a post in the building. Of course keeping any pets out of the building as they will eat the poison too. Also have some bait boxes built so mice can get in to eat but no larger animals.
