Is there such a thing as a ...

YES indeed, there are 12 Volt Delay Relay/Switches. Not knowing all your exact requirements and load current and power
ratings I ran it past Flea Bay and got over 2,000 hits, so there or Amazon are a few sources...

12 Volt Delay Relays

(quoted from post at 07:07:25 05/16/21) 12v delay switch? I'd like a 5 second delay in activatibg a circuit when turning the key on.

Lots of electronic timer/delay relays out there, what is the application you need it for?

Is the 5 second time exact or would something like an oil pressure switch and a common relay do the job?

A lot of safe crackers find them handy when blowing up the door of a vault. I have no idea where they source them but they get them from somewhere. They probably get something with a bit more time on it than five seconds though.

hose are easy.....other direction is more difficult. Where the device is activated 5 seconds before you hit the switch.

A delay switch is made for AC volts I don't know why one isn't made for DC. I would like to put a delay on my wiper blades to let the water hit the
glass first. The the wiper blades start. To keep the sand from scratching the dry wind shield. Stan

In my younger days I designed timer/delay/latch circuits. I mostly used an integrated circuit called a 555 timer. You can do all kinds of custom things with one. But Im sure you can buy a timer already made.

We use to use a sparkler ( the metal stick ones that burn at like 10,000 Degrees) for fuses on homemade noise makers ( pipes with gun powder). Gives you a few mins to get away and they don't ever go out.

I was buying 200 of those a month for my safe cracking operation but I got put on allotment due to the pandemic lately I can get only a couple dozen at a time. Wife is getting annoyed. She says that she needs to go shopping.
