Wheel Clamps

My dad just bought a Massey Super 90 and it has a rim that is bad. We were lucky and the guy that sold it new someone that had a pair that he would sell and they have good tires on them. Now, we just need to get
the locks undone. The rims are the rail style and these have 5 rails on them. We actually have one of the tools Massey sent with them to unlock them but we are putting a lock of pressure on the locks and they arent
budging. I thought maybe someone here would know of a way to get these loose a little easier. We just moved the wheels in on our 50 a month or so ago but it wasnt nearly this tight!

the best thing for seized stuff is an air punch and just keep at it with vibrations. them try and loosen with juice. i have no juice preference, anything wet and oily. last summer i spent 4 hrs. removing one rim on oliver 88 was totally corroded with calcium and rim was siezed to the hub. rim was junk anyhow.. the other side not as bad and that took 2 hrs. guaranteed the air punch is your friend here.

and forgot to say use a chizel on the nuts also works great for that. they will loosed also.

The more force is what it took! We had sprayed them down a couple of times. We took the tool for the clamps and a pipe on the end while the other took a pipe wrench on the tool to help keep it straight. With one pushing and the other pulling, we got the fist two loose and then they worked like they should. Thanks for the tips!!

I assume you're talking about what AC labeled power shift wheels, and what many call spin out rims?
What I have done with difficult AC's, is take the whole wheel off at the center- [8 studs], lay the whole thing down, impact, or burn off the nuts holding the clamp assemblies to the wheel, and drive the wheel
down out of the clamps. Then the clamps will fall off the rails, and you can go about heating/soaking them. They free up hard enough with no pressure against them!
