Ford 7000 wiring questions

So I wondered how to wire the flasher warning lamp with a non factory switch, would I need a relay? And if I could use non factory leds that fit into the headlight bezels in the front of the fenders I would also use factory spec rear lights just wondering about the fronts. Thanks

Would not need a relay just for lights. A relay is typically used when the electrical load exceeds
the capacity of the switch. Unless you are running a very small switch with low amp capacity, a
relay will not be needed.

Best to use a flasher that is not load dependent. One that will flash at the same rate regardless of
the load. It won't care if the lights are LED or incandescent.

(quoted from post at 19:18:48 06/20/21) I meant to say a flasher fuse? Or would that be included in rear lights and flasher lamps? Thanks
Yes, I would add a fuse into the circuit, just where you get your power from. A inline fuse of 10 amps should be fine for 4 led turn signal bulbs. As others have said, a 535 blinker unit with the third lug going to ground will not worry about the load and blink at the correct rate. A two lug blinker will speed up or slow down based on how many bulbs you put on it and also not work well with led bulbs unless your add the ballast resistors. So the 3 lug blinker unit will work fine with two bulbs or 4 bulbs.
