We got our 2 inches but...

it came with 50 mph wind. Tuesday we had 6 hours of thunder and lightning and only got about 2 tenths of an inch of rain. Last night after a nice quiet evening it blew in with almost 2 inches in a half hour. Along with 50 mph wind for most of the half hour. I always kinda worry about complaining to God about the weather because I know that on the spectrum of good vs bad weather, we are way closer to the good end of the scale. But wouldn't it be nice to get a year when the corn was still standing strait at harvest?

Rain Makes Grain!!!--I dumped the gauge out to pond this morning and there was 4 inches in it counting the big storm on Tuesday afternoon--Beating the down corn farther to the ground?--Stay safe ADG---Tee

Northwest Iowa west of Albert City I got a shy inch on the 25th with enough wind to blow down one branch. Last night I got 1 inch at the house and 1.2 on the east end of the farm. I can't complain. Too bad about you guys who almost have a crop have to see it be blown down. I have been in your shoes and hope I don't have to fill those shoes again. We can't do anything about the safety of our crop until it is in the bin.
