Spraying after frost

I have a mostly clover hay field that I did not get sprayed off for corn next year yet and we had a heavy frost (but not a freeze) last night. Can I still spray it and kill it this fall? I am tempted to say yes as it takes a hard freeze to make it go dorment but at the current price of roundup hate to be wrong. Tom

I did roundup this summer and the weeds didnt really die until I hit them With the plow and then they disintegrated almost instantly it was like they needed just a little stress to take up the chemical they turned black the same day

Why would you not wait for spring or are you wanting to get the corn in real early ? We hardland almost ever thing but use early spring burn down

I dont know if Roundup will do much this time of the year. If it is only clover a good shot of 2-4D with a surfactant might do the job.

Roundup effectiveness goes way down under 50 degrees. Use 2,4-D Lo Vol 6 lb. at 24 ounces per acre, 9 gal of water, a gallon of 28% liquid nitrogen and some sticker. We have had 2 straight days of heavy frost and plan on spraying my lawn this morning for clover, dandelions and creeping Charlie.

Frost or not, Roundup will need help on red clover. Think 2,4-D or Verdict. IF it were me, I'd wait til spring, and keep that living root in the ground til just before planting.
