Doesn't "ruin" it--just not technically "correct". Neither is the yellow seat. But still a darn nice looking tractor. I'd take it in a heartbeat!!

I thought all manufacturers painted their tractors with a garden hose.... If it was red, it was all red. If it was Orange, it was all Orange. If it was Green, it was all Green. Correct me if I am wrong, they assembled them, then painted, didn't they?

Nearly true. Some things were masked off to an extent. Mags and distributor caps, steering wheels, knobs and gauge windows, axles and some caps were left unpainted. Underside of hoods and sheet metal were rarely covered with more than overspray. Jim
