A friend had one of those. Best ATV ever. Could go places no other ATV could go. Narrower than side by side, to fit in tight places. Nice dump bed for carrying things.

Never seen one of those around here! Thats in nice shape, I got my 99 Honda 16 years ago at a farm auction, cant believe its been that long, I think youll be fine with the China carburetor Ive used them on string trimmers and such, hate to say it, lol

There's a Polaris factory near us, and I've yet to see a Big Boss of that era that looked as well taken care of as that one.

Very nice!

I have dreamed of owning of these things since the very first
one in 1989 when they were silver and only a 4x6 . I hope I
can get it running again

They are really handy and they will go just about anywhere you point it . I wish when I bought my John Deere I had gotten the one with the bed on it . I like how they drive like a regular 4 wheeler a lot more control than a side by side

I bought a brand new John Deere in 2005 and I abused that thing so bad its hardly worth fixing hoping i can find a parts machine . I need to look and see if I can a cheap carburetor for my John Deere chainsaw

Cockeyed barney had the scale open writ me for no straps and tread depth on my steer tires below spec

Im sure you can, check eBay for that saw carb, I bought a kit for my 20 year old echo hedge trimmer off eBay

SV,
I'm confident you will get it running. You never give up.
I wonder how difficult it will be to turn with 4 wheels pushing you forward.
I'm guessing it won't be easy. But you are a strong young man.
I'm no long young, no long strong, and I can't run. Don't have to run anymore, no woman are chasing me. How fast can your run?? Or do you slow down so woman can catch you?

I had one years ago purchased new in 1995 with the 400 CC two stroke, brother has it now. I had the track kit on it. My brother also has two more 6X6 models with the 500 CC four stroke engines on the farm. They are OK, but don't have the power the two stroke has.

Our county emergency management has a Polaris 6x6 with a fire unit on it. It is a nice machine.

The thing that goes wrong with the saw carbs is that the diaphragms get hard. You can take them apart and move them by hand and they sound hard. That and neglect from sitting with old fuel. I think JD saws may have been made by Echo. Probably a Walbro carb.

Looks like a low hours machine.

Some of those cheap carbs from china don't like ethonaled gas.
They are cheap because they do not anodize the insides.

I was going to ask if you still had the JD Buck but I see you answered. I barely used mine so I basically gave it to my niece. I have a lot more use with the RTV and a box on the back. Have you tried looking for a Bombardier Traxter parts machine? They're basically the same thing.

I watched that video, couldnt believe how good it was able to back out. I was wondering where the air intake is on it, must be mounted high or he would have sucked in water and hydrolocked it.

Just missed one of those down the road from me! Seems like the perfect ATV to me.

If Barney was cockeyed he'd never have noticed the straps or tires! Can't play the game without the right equipment! ;)

I wont run corn squeezings in anything anyway . Best was to
give the carburetor man extra business there is not to mention
the down time

That looks like the brand new 6x6 in that case that guy has a
lot more money than sense . Which I was young and stupid
once still stupid just no longer young
