Ferguson Disc Auction M update

I went over the disc this morning and fixed the broke pin, greased it up and gave it a try. I made a couple of passes then greased it again to make sure it was full.

I think it did great! I was complaining about the poor plow job I did in an earlier post, its cleaned up now!

The Auction M ran like a top! Pulled good, with plenty of power. No issues!

It sure makes for an enjoyable day when thing are working good!

Matthies,
I had the gangs angled as far as they would go when I started. I took the pictures when I was about done and I had the gangs set about straight just to level thing up.

To help keeping it level working it corner ways will help with that versus just working it length ways all the time. a drag will level better than a disc also. It will also pull all the sods up that are near the top.

Those are GREAT Discs. However new axle bearings are not available. I have my FIL disc like that one that he purchased new in 1972.

Im really happy with it considering I pulled out of a fence row! It looks like mine was originally painted grey. Timmycornpicker thought it might be a Harry Ferguson based on the numbers on the bearing housings. Looks like the exact same disc as yours just a little older I guess!

Thanks for the tip. It evened up pretty good but I do have a section of harrow I could work with if I really screw it up!
