Ih 1066 hydraulic problem

Hi had a question to see if any one has had this problem. I was mowing hay this summer with our 1066 started out hydraulic remotes were working good as I was mowing the remotes started getting weaker and after about 3 hours I couldnt even lifter the mower up had to just unhook it and go get another tractor to finish. Steering and brakes still work great just no remotes oil level is fine and I change the filter every year. Farming is all done for the year so now time to fix it wondering if it is pump or valve body or something else is wrong didnt no if anyone else has had this problem? Thanks
 
Start with the filter change and while there make sure that square o-ring is in the right place behind the tin cup the filter sets in. If not that could be sucking air by the filter. Also further checking will need a flow rater since it faded out you need to check oil flow while hot and pressure as well at the same time. Thus the need for the flow rater. One could be built with parts though you would need some extra oil and some pails to catch the flowing oil. There are a few options for your problem.Weak/tired pump weak relief valve internal leak or plugged filter. Pretty simple hydraulic system on them.
 
ditto cat guy. cut the old filter apart to check for filings. is oil milky? does tractor set out all the time? brakes and steering has
smaller GPM pump where as hyd is larger GPM pump. plugged filter will show on hyd first!
