Iron guard 2150 paint primer

Will rust oleum primer work with 2150? What works with it other than the IH stuff?

I used IH's Buff Primer on nearly all of my IH/Farmall projects. It is yellow in color so one can easily tell if your final coats of red are too thin or do not have adequate coverage. Your local John Deere dealer will have the same paint in an aerosol can. IH does not carry the aerosol version. That works good on small parts. With all of the effort to clean and prep before painting, I preferred to use the CaseIH primer to avoid any incompatibility between primer and finish paint. For good coverage two coats of primer are needed and don't thin it any more than necessary. For me that meant both primer and the 2150.
