Picked up White 2-150

I just purchased a White 2-150. I have ordered a manual but i probably wont see it for a few a week or so with the holidays. Since the tractor has MM parts and Oliver i am not sure where to post this.

I would like to know what lubricants/quantities to use for the under/over gearbox, hydraulic oil / gear oil for the rearend. Since it looks like they are seperate.

Also can the 1000 pto shaft be flipped around for 540?

Under on the gearbox doesnt work but direct and over work just fine.

Any other information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

We had one. Front 1/2 is MM 1355 and back half is Oliver 2150. Lots of different fluid levels to check separately. Dry brakes so don't use them a lot for turning because they will heat up. Here is some more info:

Most folks post White stuff in the Oliver section below. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks down there that will help you. We had a 2-105. Great tractor, but the free wheeling in Low can be a bit to get used to.

James, I had a 2-105 4WD White. only White I ever owned. Based on that one, I will add- if you ever need to take out the engine AND over-under TOGETHER, FIRST pull the PTO drive shaft out the back of the tractor, or you will have Major $$$ issues. Guy down the road found that out the hard way.
The stub 1000 shaft on my 105 could be switched for a 540, with the drive speed also switched underneath the PTO unit. Dunno if the 150 is the same, being bigger HP. Companies then were putting just 1000 in their biggest tractors.
Under drive on mine eventually started slipping. My mechanic said to not try using it, as there was an expensive shaft that could get spalled. No problem with direct and over drive.
Can't help with the lubricants, the manual left with the tractor.
Good luck with your tractor, if the replies on newagtalk haven't totally discouraged you.

PTO shaft gets changed out for the 6 spline. There is a gear shift which is down and to the right of the shaft if I remember correctly. I had both shafts, but never changed gears, just throttled down for 540. Plenty of power for anything with a 540 shaft even at low RPM.

I had a 2270 White which was the same as a G1355. Both are very similar to the 2-150.

Mine the over under had ATF in it, some use hydraulic transmission fluid.
