Old tractors wasting away

Pics sent to me via a text message, may go get the JD 420 if price is right just to have for a parts tractor, this guys Dad had aquired a lot of stuff over the years, heres some pics he sent me, believe he said the crawler was an Oliver. All of this stuff been neglected a long time

The Ford appears to be a mutt. Front end from an early N series rear of a later one. As for the crawler it appears to be a Cletrac HG or OC-3
 
Well its not bad in my opinion the alternate would have been that they would have been sent to the scrapyard years ago,now they are still around as parts sources.
 
The ford may be a mutt but its had some work done.. if im not mistaken I see a GM alternator on it.. theres alot of parts there..
 
Old,
I don't understand how anything is better to let old tractors sit outside and rust away.
Respect the old working girls and give them a place under a roof.

The other day, it was near zero. The neighbor's dog was locked up outside and barking. He wanted to be inside in a warm place. I felt sorry for the old dog. He had a place to get out of the wind. Instead he was outside in the cold breeze freezing and complaining.
If only the old tractor's left outside could talk!!!!
 
For sure save the wheel weights, and if the block isnt cracked behind the carburetor, Id save that too.
 
A lot of potential ,Id say ! I see an Oliver HG in the bush. Needs a kind wrench and I know I can , just like hear you run again desires.
 
That's my feeling too.....If one intends to eventually restore the tractor or keep it for a supply of parts, put it under cover! Even a tarp is better than nothing. Every day outside exposed to the elements reduces the value of the parts and is one day closer to reducing its value to scrap.
