MF135 how to shut fuel pump for cleaning glass sediment

For those who helped me with the shut-off knob, I fixed it, thank you for the help!
I just got an MF 135 and I'm trying to get it ready to run. I am new to tractors and like to learn to do basic maintenance.
So here's a question: the tractor has water in the sediment bowl so I need to clean that out. In order to remove the glass bowl I have to shut the fuel off. But the manual shows a different type bowl with a little shut-off wheel or brass handle and my combination 'sediment glass-fuel pump' has no such thing. I depressed the brass colored lever on the pump (I think it is for to bleed air out after reassembling) but the lever comes right back up after pressing it down. When I tried to take the glass bowl off anyway, the diesel ran down my hand / in my coat sleeve :( so I put it back quickly. I'm adding a picture of the fuel pump with bowl attached on the engine (very dirty) and a picture of the same thing but new from an Amazon ad. Can anyone explain to me where the shut off is for when you want to take the bowl off? Thank you so much!

Look up stream, should be a shut off valve where the gas line comes from the tank. If no, drain the tank, needs to be done anyway, add a shut off valve in the bottom of tank or in gas line line.

Look for a shutoff right where the fuel line comes out of the bottom of the fuel tank. Turn it off there, then remove the glass bowl, trying to avoid getting the diesel fuel on your coat sleeve. The lever you show on the fuel pump is so you can manually pump fuel to the injection pump to purge air. Find the bleed screw on the injector pump and loosen it and watch for bubbles. When the bubbles quit and you have a solid stream of fuel, tighten the bleed screw. Try starting the tractor. It may not start if there is air in the lines from the injector pump to the injectors in which case you will need to loosen the nut holding the line to each injector. Crank the engine until you see no more bubbles, then tighten the nuts again.

On most 135s the tank cutoff is on the left rear of the tank, hard to see, almost have tp feel for it

Hint, you will need to replace the gasket at the top of the glass bowl.
It may be stuck to the housing and hard to see but there is one on
there. You need to completely remove the old gasket and clean that
surface and the top of the glass bowl. Install a new gasket and hand
tighten the knob on the bottom of the glass bowl. The gasket may be made
of cork or rubber, I've seen both.
I leave the glass bowl a bit loose and turn on the fuel and let the bowl
fill up then hand tighten the knob.

And if you can't find get to the shut off just take the line off and have somebody hold a finer over the end till you get it cleaned up. Or catch the fuel in a can. Looking at the bowl I'd catch the fuel and clean tank out then refill. Keep old fuel let settle out then use to wash part out with after separating the fuel off.

Thank you all for the help! I'm going to see if I can find the fuel shut off from the tank, now that I know where to look for. And order a few new gaskets. *puts on snowshoes and loads up sled again*

Update for all who helped me with this question:
I found the fuel shut off thing! Actually I couldn't see a thing (even though I looked at all the suggested spots), but eventually stuck my phone in where the fuel line disappeared and when I looked at the picture, lo and behold, it showed the little knob, so I ran around to the other side and shut it off. What a terrible spot to put that thing, whoever designed that, and octopus? In town I found a welding company that also had tractor parts. I bought a gasket for the glass bowl, a fuel filter with gaskets, and the one rubber boot for the clutch they had in store (and ordered the other one).
Today I replaced the rubber boot, and then took off the glass bowl, cleaned it plus a little sieve that came falling out, replaced the gasket and re-assembled everything. Yay! Tomorrow I'll try to replace the fuel filter and air bleed the system. Hopefully that goes well. Thank you all very much for your help, without it I couldn't have done it.

If you get a WIX or NAPA style fuel filter (solid top, has a groove about 3/16" wide, with 4 slots in it, just inside the filter's top rim), watch assembly carefully. They are normally package with 3 gaskets to cover several housings, not all housings use three gaskets, so you may have more than needed. Do not put a gasket in the groove in the top of the element. The gasket goes up inside a groove in the filter head. Use a bit of grease to hold the new one in place after removing the old one. A gasket in the groove of the element blocks the fuel flow. Some brands have holes in the top instead of the groove. The gasket belongs in the housing head for all styles.
