Driveway Opened

Finally got my driveway opened this morning. Majority of it was blown clean down to frozen ground or ice but the problem areas had deep and hard drifts. The snowblower just rode over top so I had to hit them with the bucket on the front end loader to break it up so the blower would handle it. Unfortunately I didn't take the time to take any pictures or video of the little JD 2140 at work but I did shoot some later on the trip to town. Highways are good today but some of the secondary roads have not seen a snowplow yet and have some bad drifts. Temp got so warm today that by afternoon it was poor snowblowing with snow sticking to the auger. I'm not used to that much heat. (+33F degrees).

I always enjoy your videos sir. I really like to see the countryside you live around. Glad to see you got out and got supplies. Kow Farmer Kurt

Thanks Kurt. Wish it had been a bright and sunny day for the drive. It did clear up in the afternoon and got real scenic. I took the drone up for some pics and video of the scenery. Sure is white out there.

I sort of wish we had that snow here rusty6. Only snow here is a bit in the yard, fields are all brown and when I was in town just after lunch water was running down the
street. 11 degrees Celsius at our farm today.

Sometimes it works that way, the wind picks up a blows all the snow right off of your driveway, other times it blows other snow right into your driveway. My home driveway runs east west, and the strong wind we had yesterday blew the 3-4 inches of snow that fell Friday clear away. The driveway on our other farm runs nort/south, and the wind just plugged it full of drifted snow. And its funny how hard those snow drifts can be. Back when the VW Beatles were a popular car, people could often times drive those little bugs right over drifts

I have to wonder...

Why are some of you so private about your license plates on your vehicles?
Are you afraid that somebody might find out your real identity or your address?

Did you know that when you go out on a public highway, EVERYBODY around you can see your license plate? Did you also know that to the average person, that number is of no value? So, if somebody across the country or in another country sees your license plate, there is no way they can harm you with that information?

Just so you know that I am not just talking through my hat, to anybody that asks, I will gladly provide that information about myself - including a picture of my license plate!

I don't always bother to do that but it does not do any harm. Plus, did you read it? A little advertising for the channel.
