tachometer cable chatter Ford TW5

I just had my injector pump redone. The guy that did the work also did the injector pump on my tw20. Now I have chatter like fingernails on a chalkboard. I think It is coming from the tack cable. Low rpm's I don't hear it. Is it possible that the tack cable was not connected to the injector pump?? Thanks

Usually a noisy tach will be a jumpy tach.

Can you disconnect the tach from the drive and see if the noise stops?

If it does, remove the cable housing from the tach, pull the core out, wash
the old grease off, flush the housing, reassemble it with light oil inside the
cable housing.

While the cable is off the tach, turn the brass piece the cable drives. It
should turn with minimal effort and be smooth to turn. If it's sticky, take
the tach out, lay it face down and add a couple drops of light oil, like 3-In-
One oil.

If I disconnect at the injector pump, is there any special instructions on hooking it back up? That is my main concern
Thank you
