Hi, I have a 56 Minneapolis Moline 445 with a Henry backhoe on it. I tired of breaking the swing chain. Has anyone done anything different with those??

A lot of old backhoes had swing chains. My question would be: What is so worn out that a new chain keeps breaking?

looseness in the chain at rest, using the side of the bucket to push sideways, no, or little lubrication, excessive system pressure, weak chain band, are all possible. when does it snap? Jim
