Hi guys,
new to this. Bought a 1951 8n couple weeks ago and could use some advise. The top link right now is flatbar with holes drilled in it. Can someone tell me which adjustable top link to buy????

I think most of the category 1 top links
are fairly universal. Here's a couple I
picked up at auctions.

There are different lengths and I believe an 8n would take a shorter one, in category 1. But I don't know the
measurement. We had an 8n when I was growing up and it had the factory top link. It was 2 flat pieces bolted
together and whatever it measured worked on all the implements, plow, disc, blade. My memory is that it was
around 30 inches, plus or minus. Mark.

You have an original Ford top link. I still have the one on my 8N.However a (cheap) Category one top link from TSC is just fine. Get the middle size

with draft arms raised to level measure from center of top link hole to straight out in line with draft arms. a top link sould be screwed out about half way .oh if 3 or more sets of holes to pin top link use middle hole to measure. just a way i was told to get close on arm length. but a ford like yours uses as said above middle length link
