Adding side shift to a forklift

Just curious if anyone on here has ever added a side shift to a forklift. I found a side shift mechanism on FB marketplace for 500. It looks like it could be welded on to the lift carriage where the forks attach. Might have to get different forks for it, and another hydraulic circuit would have to be added, but that's not a big deal or particularly difficult.

Looking for all opinions, positive or negative.

If you have the right parts it not hard. Usually, the side shift frame just hangs on top of the base fork carriage. The only thing added is the anchor for the end of the cylinder.

You will also need two hose reels at the top of the mast, to hold enough hose for maximum lift of the mast. What exactly is included in this kit?

I haven't bought it, just looked at the picture on FB. I messaged the seller last evening, but am still waiting for a response. Looks like just the cylinder and the frame. I don't think the hose or reels is included.

An AC I-600 that I've used just has a short, 2-way cylinder at the bottom of the mast that shifts the entire mast assembly right or left about 8. It's controlled by a valve next to the raise/lower and tilt levers.
