Auction results two of them

I went to an auction Friday near Van Wert Ohio, and one Saturday near Conover Ohio. Both were newer big tractors and equipment, and sold for almost new price. Both auctions were on the internet, some of you have seen them, but I stood out in the cold wind for those who would like a look see of what sold and the price.

Machinery Pete was telling this morning on Ag Day, a Deere 4255 that sold for $142,500. It was said to be the last one made, but come on guys, let's be realistic. He said there was another one on the same sale that brought $90,000.

Those 50 and 55 series deere's are darn good tractors but I agree that's quite a bit of money.They are collector tractors to a lot of people.Seems it was bought on speculation figuring it'll be worth even more in the future if tucked away somewhere for awhile.

I got a 4250 ill take that for it! Its only pulled a round baler and a corn planter.

That same last built 4255 was sold in 2019 for $70,000. Not a bad return on investment. There were several late 4020's in the $35,000 price range. The big farmers made lots of money this year and are spending it as well. Tom
