Thoughts on 5075e

Looking into getting a new to me tractor and have my eye on a 5075e with 4wd and a 520m loader. I wanted to find out if there was any reason to avoid these tractors. Was also curious if there were any known issues with them and how many hours were considered high. Lastly is there a better tractor with 4wd and loader in the 45k price range.

There are a few variations of the 5075E, a flat top fender one has no emissions junk and is a nice basic tractor, the round fender version has emissions but same principle.

9x3 trans is simple, but limited gear selections, 12x12 power shuttle likely nicer overall.

Guessing from the 520M loader it is a newer model with emissions.

If it's a cab model, the cab models were rated 59 PTO HP instead of 64 PTO HP for some reason.

I'm looking at an open station 12x12 and it's a 2021 so I figured emissions would be a thing. Deere really isn't my first choice but I do want 4x4 and my nephew works at the dealership. I bought my Z970r from him and figured I would try to give him a little more business.

I hope they're alright because I just ordered a 5067e. Same tractor same engine. I'm not sure how they get 10 more horse out of the 75. I ordered mine 2wd without cab or loader. I want
it to pull my ss baler. I have a 1025r and just love it. Very user friendly. I know they are totally different tractors but it is a 3 cylinder and seams to have a lot of power.

My 92yr old Father drives his 5083E to load round bales of hay . And to haul whitetail deer .
Even though he now uses a walker . He still beats me to the tractor so he can drive it .
My Mother shot at a nice buck this year but missed .

I'm personally not a fan of common-rail fuel injection system or electronically controlled transmission. I suggest to perform a Google search for failures of these 2 items on later model tractors.

My neighbor unfortunately got water in fuel on a different brand tractor with common-rail fueled engine that the fungus in fuel caused complete common-rail fuel & injectors to require replacement

I admire your father for his desire & ability to to drive his tractor. I hope he never has a problem of his knee not holding getting off his tractor as I experienced a couple years ago.

Bought a new 5065E in 2014. Don't care to bash it on a public forum ,but it is not my best tractor.

Mechanical pump on that tractor .
Both knees replaced 20 years ago .

That is an extremely nice looking place that he has there! It looks like he has been a successful farmer.
