Reliable Electric Fuel Pump

A while back, seems I recall a discussion about aftermarket low pressure, ethanol resistant, fuel pumps.

Any recommendations for a brand that has proven itself to hold up?

I cannot find a replacement mechanical pump, it's on an Allis Chalmers forklift, the engine tag is gone,
but it's an early 70's Continental Red Seal. The pump that failed is apparently an Airtex 40314. I had a
hard time finding this one about 5 years ago. Now they must be really rare, the ones I found were over
$200! Anyone got a new one in their back pocket?

My quick look found this on the mechanical pump

which had a cross reference to this

hope it can help you out

hough it is on the way, to answer your question, Facet Makes a variety of reliable electric fuel pumps All are Ethanol friendly. I hav 3 being used right now, and have used maybe 6 more on my and others equipment. Jim

Since they started putting ethanol in gas I've never seen a fuel pump, mechanical or electric which would hold up to it. It's the most common repair job I have on my cars. The tractor doesn't have a problem. It uses gravity for a fuel pump.
