I don't see the weight on that tractor that would enable it to pull or stop that spreader. Maybe it is only being used to move the spreader in the farmyard.

Looks to be a global market tractor, possibly a six cylinder engine.
A Neuss powerplant would be at least 70hp. Strange to me is what looks like an
86 series cab on that frame,a first for me. Dump trailer has a shield on front
so is it being used for forage chopping ? Tractor could easily move that load.

The big spreaders are very aggressive to achieve a 30-40 foot spread pattern. The screen is to protect the tractor from any crap that gets thrown forward. Believe me, you are glad it's there! As for tractor size, I used my 7810 Deere which ran 190+ hp on my vertical beater hydra-push spreader and would sometimes run low on power if I was pushing it hard. A lot different than spreading manure back in the 60s.

They usually run air to their heavy carts, so braking wouldn't me much of an issue. The weights are on the front, but I do not recall what a full
rack weighs. They're black, so they could be CaseIH or aftermarket. The tractor from the factory ran around 150 HP & with 20 gears to choose from,
it'll haul the mail with that cart.

They also remind me of a Detroit noise maker. They seem to favor the heavy hand.

AND the kids love 'em!!

(quoted from post at 09:57:54 02/27/23) Either a 12 or 1455XL on a silage cart. Tough little setup. Don't let the size of that tractor fool you, they are hard lugging machines.... & you can
shift on the fly. Would love to have one.

Mike look more closely. That is not a forage wagon it is a vertical beater hydro push manure spreader. The sides are way too low for it to be a forage wagon. There are no external tailgate lift arms that a forage wagon would have. Manure weighs nearly twice what fresh chopped corn silage weighs. I would be very surprised if that spreader did not have brakes, but if you road it you are going to need on brakes both pieces AND a lot of weight or the spreader will push your locked up tires right off the road. 500 HP tractors wear their brakes out pulling manure tankers over the road.

Yessir! Did some searching & you are correct. Looks to possibly be a Strautmann. They do have the regular vertical beater setup as well as this
interesting setup. Seems to be some type of fan spreader.

That's not to say that is what the beaters are in the OP. Just found it interesting. I understand what you are saying about braking, but that
spreader doesn't look all that oversized compared to the tractor. Just my view of it, not saying I'm right. Really wish the pic was bigger to get a
look at the side for a model number. Google lens didn't do much here.
