Jd 825i idle

Our 2014 825i upon starting idles at 2300 to 2500, if the motor is worked putting it in gear or sometimes just turning the steering wheel it will slow to 900. Appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks

Assuming this is a gas engine, fuel injected.

No personal experience, but if it were an automotive application, the first things I would check would be
that the throttle plate is fully closing, that it could be held slightly open by carbon deposits or
improper linkage adjustment.

If there is an idle speed solenoid it may need to be removed and cleaned.

Check for vacuum leaks.

These are only guesses, might find more info on specific forums or Youtube.

Mine is older. If you start it and let it warm up the idle will
drop making it easier to put it in gear. It seems to be a normal
thing with them. Swede
