Air intake on the dash says T0-30.

Ferguson used overhead valves. Ford N series used flathead.Btw,there were no Ferguson till 49/50.

Nope- LOOKS like a TO-30 but NOOOO. A cool little 30 was NEVER a stupid PURPLE color.

Incorrect. TO-20 started at serial number 1 in 1948.

Its a ferguson. But they had a little IH red left over and some Allis orange, so . . . .

(They probably really wanted an IH or Allis and just found the Ferguson first.)

Whelp, $200 plus $20 to help load, and it's in my driveway. I think it's a TO-30, but I'm working from no knowledge here.

All tires are good, the clutch seems to work, engine not froze, alternator 12V conversion, and the gas tank seems fairly clean. Rad has water in it up to the top of the fins.

What's up with those funky spark plug extensions? Weird.

Do they look like these? Theyre a stop-gap effort to get your sparkplugs away from all the oil getting past your worn out rings, up into the
combustion chamber and fouling their electrodes.

They actually work- for a little while...

That is exactly what they are. Sounds like my engine is going to need an in-frame rebuild. I'll start with 40W oil and get it running, see what happens. I'm starting with all new fluids so that's the easy part.

As for the color, well I just got it on the trailer. At some point, once it runs and moves, I'll worry about the paint, and some cosmetics. I have a buddy with a sand blasting pit, I might seal things up well and have it blasted first.
