Erickson V4 Ford Engine

Hey guys. I just recently got a hold of an old Erickson skid steer. The model says LCVW, however I can't find ANYTHING on that model. It looks pretty close to the CL40. Everything works on this thing which is lovely, only the V4Ford engine has a pretty noticeable knock, the distributor is not set, and the carb needs adjusting. I'm sure it's ready for a rebuild. Problem is I can't find any info on this engine to know what rebuild parts I need. Can anyone guide me on my next steps to get this baby running tip top?

Several automotive companies used it. SAAB in the Sonnet and 96 & 99. Ford Taunus (not Taurus), and equipment companies. Parts can be found. Probably not cheap. They are indestructible. Jim

Pretty sure that engine takes the same rod and main bearings as 1983 to 1986 ford ranger 2.8 V6 engines.
