Are you in the market for a compact tractor?

I heard on TV a Kubota ad, zero down, zero interest and 84 months when you buy Kubota compact tractors.

I thought I would share Kubota's ad, nothing more.

A lot of people in Terre Haute have compact Kubotas and a few JD compacts.

My bro-in-law bought one. They are on 2.4Ac out in the TN country. As he got it configured, and bought a blade and bush hog it was breaking $30,000.

I sent him a pic of my 1962 Ford 961 with loader and PS. I told him I paid $2600 for all of it incl the brush hog. Now, my sis is really ------ at him. So, I guess he goes out and does some outside work on the land, maybe that all worked out as planned for them?

Not my thing.

That's not a bad deal. I have nothing against Kubota. I just can't stand their local dealer here. Last year I tried to buy a new RTV. They put a dealer markup over msrp. I drove across the road to the green dealer and bought a decked out Gator for less money.

I have a JD 855 4WD,24 HP,loader have about $6000 in it which includes newly reworked front end and new wheels and ag tires all around, new loader bucket.Wouldn't trade it for brand new compact of any brand.

To each his own if he can afford it and enjoys it nothing wrong with that. If folks did not buy new
ones their would be no used so the world turns. Right now new compacts are selling very well because
Tennessee economy is running wild.

When we bought our JD 4600 in 2001 JD had zero interest, so that made it a better deal. We're very happy with the tractor, about 1400 hors and zero problems.

My neighbor three doors down at the lake house bought the compact tractor from India, I forgot the name. He used to laugh at my 8N. In the past 18 months, I've had to tow his unit home with my 8N, and I think it's been in the dealer for at least 2 months or more for electronic glitches.

Now, I admit the 8N is not the most driver friendly, and his unit is pretty cute, but I'm not bugging Ford to take my tractor back because I can't use it every week without something breaking.

Sending Kubotas to the shop twice per year is only half the problem, prices of Kubota parts are ridiculous.

I have a 2013 Kubota tractor/loader/backhoe and a 2020 RTV-X1100C.
They have been absolutely trouble free. I really like Kubota products, but this past December I was making a deal on a new M7060 cab. Here in Canada the MSRP was $66,000.
On Jan 1st it jumped up to over $72,000.
No changes. It hasn't had a single thing changed since 2013.

Every model of Kubota went up minimum $6000 on Jan 1st.

So I decided to just keep what I got and buy old restored tractors.
I can see a bit of price increase with the inflation but it has just got ridiculous.

New ones sure are nice. Some friends have them and enjoy them as I do. I just don't want the payment book that comes with a new one. I will stick with my older tractors purchased cheap. I am fine with repairs.

I bought a new Korean built Long compact 47 Hp 25 years ago. It has a Mitsubishi engine and transmission. It has been a good tractor and everything petty well still works. Easy on fuel and starts easily. But if I try to get 47 Hp out of it things start to break. 3 front axels, rebuilt reverser and new gears in front. Compacts are simply not built heavy enough to take hard work. For that reason I would never consider another toy tractor. Should have bought a utility 50hp tractor. We now have a M7030 to do the heavy lifting. I still use the compact daily for lighter work, grading roads, brush hogging, plowing snow and running the spreader. No plowing, disking or heavy loader work.

Is it a Mahindra? I used one for a day a few years ago, it was very plain Jane. I can visualize them having problems with the electronics used today, just
like everyone else. They are the #1 selling tractor in the world!

Son bought new Kubota. Mice and rats did $2000,damage wiring and fuel lines. I have no problems like that with a Ford 9N and Ferg 1030

Several ways of defining #1 in sales . Tops in $ sold ? Top in number of machines sold ? Top in HP sold ? Top on a particular size class ?
