I got a new 1/2 x 102.5 inch DRIVE belt.
I'm not a rocket scientist. I think the books are wrong. I ordered a 5/8 x 102.5 inch kevlar drive belt.

I replaced the drive belt about a year ago and it was a 1/2 in so I replaced it with 1/2.

Amazon shows the drive belt is a 1/2 inch.

I'm a rebel. I'm going to use a 5/8 inch.

The 1/2 belt doesn't come in with both sides of the pulley.

Congratulations, X2 I'm likewise a firm believer in using the correct belt width to properly match the pulley yayyyyyyyyyyyyy..I don't consider that as being any rebel lol

Best wishes take care

Been there done that!!!!!!! Use the half inch one!!!!!!!!!!!! The 5/8 will jump off,,, Ask me how i know. Because the deck goes up and down to adjust cutting height John Deere made the pulleys wide so that the belt would stay on

Thanks for confirming the books show a 1/2 inch belt, which doesn't come in contact with the sides of the pulley.
I ordered a 5/8 inch belt.
I can always return it to Amazon if it doesn't work.

The DRIVE belt doesn't go to the mower deck, the deck belt does.

I'm having issues with the drive belt.
