Help me understand this. I (think) I understand cropping is a process whereby a picture is changed to increase its desirability, target a certain audience or make a statement. What's the point to this comparison?

Cropping is also a way to cut down on the Number of MB making it faster to send via email.

Ok but at least in this case, what's the point? One would think that the uncropped picture was showing off a field of grain headed out, ready for combining. The cropped picture looks like the combine has finished the field.....apples and oranges!
