I always wondered why Deere made the 2510 when they already had a 3010, 3020? Seems redundant.

The 2510 was built after the 3010 quit being built. The 3020 was 70 hp and the 2510 was 54. The 2510 had a different engine than the 3010-3020 and was very throttle responsive. The 2510 came out in 66. The 2510 was about a thousand cheaper than a 3020. Tom

2510 was to fight against IH 656, Oliver 1650, Ford 5000 rowcrop, Massey 165 row crop, etc...
If only they had drop the 4270 in the 3020 for the second gens, and put the 6303...
