Still mowing

Some of this heavy ground just doesn't dry out. Did a job today that I did back in June. Doing one tomorrow for the 6th time. Mostly to make it look good. This guy has a barn he uses for parties, and wants the ground to look nice. With my flail mower I can get the blades within an inch from the ground. I do hit the dirt sometimes. Stan

yesterday was the first strong wind around here for the year. The wind came up after I had been mowing for a while. I should have stopped because of fire danger. If I had been mowing wild oats I would have. but I was mowing mostly tumble weeds, and I had a good fire brake around the field already. Stan

George if you came up here you would be stuck trying to mow yard now. We got another inch or 2 of rain 2 days ago. Now hoping we can finish the beans in the next 2 days before it freezes. then on to corn. Fields around here were plowed with combine tires this fall in a lot of places. Ditches already there just drop in the tile and back fill.

Thought I did my last mowing job two weeks ago. A woman just paid off her last winters snow plowing, and asked if it was too late to mow. Im debating whether to try it, with a couple inches of snow, and wet ground underneath. Th prospect of slow pay doesnt encourage me a whole lot either.

Sounds like a good situation to steer clear of. Permanently.
