Hey guys , just wondering if any of you have tried finger closing wheels on a planter. I took my regular wheels off and put on Yetter finger wheels . Absolutely disasterous . Every pass they are plugged with corn stalks. Am I doing something wrong or did I get the shaft again. Dealer says I am stuck with them because the company says they SHOULD work.

are you running row cleaners ahead of the openers? yetter makes a trash manager that mount ahead to push the trash out of the way to clear a path for the openers. shoups sells the kits, here is a link
residue managers

I would not mess with the dealer, I would call Yetter directly. You should not have to spend the kind of money you spent only to have to add another $250.00 per row.

When trying something new I did only one row to start. That way you only have one row to give you problems while you fine tune it. Also a lot less money invested if it does not work. Armand
