baler twine costs

I was behind a guy last week in line at TSC with a two roll pack of 9000ft of baler twine the cost was $34 bucks my suprise must of shown he said what's wrong? I said last time I bought that stuff it was between $9.50 and $11.00 he said you've been away from it too long and I did some quick math and I guess that must have been at least 35 years ago. WOW!!!

it was 20 bucks a box for our family, that was 10 years ago.

Two years ago, about $18; Last year about $29; this year about $34.

When I was in college 20 years ago I usually figured $20 a bale for 9000 ft Sisal.

@ bale [ 4 rolls ] was 75 bucks at the implement dealer the other day . still cheper than drvin to TSC and there not selling it cheap . Gona have to start buying and spliting pallet loads of supplys to save a couple bucks . It dont matter how much income ya have , ya gota figger out a way to keep some of it .

TSC has really gone up on prices here.last year the local coop was cheaper on twine than TSC

So roughly speaking it's costing 5 to 6 cents a bale for twine versus 1.5 cents in the 60's and 70's talking a standard bale at about 15 to 16 feet per? Just doing some quick math.
