3000 Ford Oil Pressure Sending Unit

My oil pressure sending unit is leaking oil around it. I tried removing it, but no luck. I can"t find a wrench that fits it. I don"t want to twist it off with a pipe wrench and create a bigger problem. Any ideas as how to safely remove the sending unit?

Not for sure about that specific tractor, but, often there is a wrench fitting right at the thread end-from there you can usually give enough power to it to properly twist it off-BTDT! My experience with oil sending units is they often twist off, and then you get to buy the proper size extraction tool! Greg

I had that problem on my 1981 Mercury Cougar and I think it was a 25/32 deep socket to remove the old sending unit. Hal
