Why to drink beer!

Another reason farmers should drink beer, last weekend I was going to start our JD M for the first time this year and, when I turned on the gas the sediment bowl leaked quite bad. When I took it apart the gasket had shrunk so that it no longer did its job. I got my scissors and walked around looking for some material to make a temporary gasket out of, and there was a Hamms beer case sitting there so I cut one out of the side of it! Its working quite well so thats just another reason to drink beer!

Years back I used to see this old fella drive his tractor up to the bar, and he'd always come in sloshed and leave more sloshed, always at night time. I understood that he had a drinking and driving problem and lost his license. Maybe he was coming in there to get gasket material for his old Farmall?

Durned shame it has to be Hamm's, though.

When I was a kid in North Dakota, I always liked the Hamms beer commercials, though. That danged bear cracked me up. I actually met that bear when I was in college in Fargo. I went to Polar Package Place (north of University Village at NDSU) and as I walked in, I noticed this large stuffed Hamms beer bear. When I walked past, he moved toward me to shake paws. You coulda knocked me over with a feather. I'd had a "couple" beers by that time, and didn't realize it was a guy in a bear suit, just thought it was a stuffed bear in a display. When he moved, all I could say was "Oh my gosh, it the HAMMS BEER BEAR!!!".

That guy in the Bear suit may have been my uncle , lol I recall him saying he ended up in a bear suit on one of his drunken adventures at NDSU , lol <lloyd Galde >? I also had a buddy that got to wear the Bear suit here in Iowa. Hamm's sponsored drag racer here yrs ago ,,buddy was on his pit crew and wore the suit at promos etc .

I used to make paper gaskets out of cereal boxes, with very good results. They were about the same as beer can boxes.

1. beer kills brain cells.
2. weakest are the first die.
3.therefore enough beer will kill the weakest brain cells and you will be smarter.
