OT: Empty weight of bobtail truck

I'm looking for some educated guesses on the empty weight of a '65 chevy 2 ton bobtail. I'm looking at one but will need to move it across the county and am wondering what I'll need.

It's just an old farm grain truck, no hoist or hydraulics, but it does have about a nineteen yard steel box on it and a 292 six.

Thanks.

We had a 1974 C60 with a fertilizer bed on it that had an empty weight of about 8500#, the best I can remember. It had a 350 engine.

Agree with JT.
Had a 65 C60 with a 16 foot wood grain box, 292 engine, no hoist. Empty weight was just over 8000 lb.

My '67 Dodge with 318, 4 speed/w 2 speed rear, 8 ft x 16 ft diamond-plate bed wrapped with 4 inch angle and 4 ft metal sideboards weighed just over 8000 lbs.

CenTex, 74 Chevy C65 tandem,366 BB, 5-speed, air brakes, also dual factory 50 gal saddle tanks W/ a 20 ft Midwest steel bed with 18 in high extensions, w/ a twin 10 ton hoist ......17500 empty on the scales with the saddles full.
IMO you should be in the 9000 to 10000 lb range. hope this helps.
Later,
John A.
