Truck hoist update

With the box blocked up I took the fitting out that I thought was a restrictor. It wasn't. It was just a swivel adaptor. Male NPT but the swivel was a different type of thread, I think. There is shorter hose the last couple of feet on the line for lowering the hoist. Brass fittings and maybe it's NPT but not sure why they don't use one hose. The lift side has 2 hoses as well but they both look like normal hydraulic hose. I talked with the maker of hoist and was told that restrictors are common but I don't know where else it could be restricted. I'd like to make this hoist lower faster if I can. Has a Gresen pump and supposedly a Gresen control valve. Dave

There could be a restrictor valve in the body of the valve itself, Maybe under a cap? I have two old grain trucks with single action hoists. They do take their sweet time lowering, mainly in colder weather tho.

I talked to the maker of the hoist and they said that usually the hoists with the Gresen pump had a Gresen control valve. He said the pump is probably a 12 GPM. The valve is dirty but has 2702 and W cast in it. 2 spool valve so a drill fill auger could be used. Dave
